OVER THE WATERFALL, a chapbook of three deliciously sensual short stories by Julie Gittus, is soon to be published by Wallaby Press in both print format as well as an ebook.
What's a chapbook? The word ‘chap’ comes from the Old English word for trade. Chapbooks were popular in the 18th & 19C. A cross between a pamphlet and mini-book, they used to cover a wide range of subject matter including alphabet books, dramas, heroic tales and traditional stories, songs, prophecies, dream interpration and more. Usually sold by their printer-publishers directly to individual purchasers, the form tends to now be used for poetry publication and creative fiction.
