Saturday 9th May, 2009: Campaspe Writers' Day. An all day writers' workshop to be held at Echuca.

Saturday, 4th April, 2009: Writers in Conversation. Julie was part of a series of conversations with writers. Led by poet Ross Donlon, other writers in this all day session were Alex Miller, Cate Kennedy and Judith Rodriguez. Part of the Castlemaine Regional State Festival program.

March 2009: Varuna Retreat Fellowship

June 2007: Guest panelist with Adib Khan and Robbi Neal discussing; 'Finding Home - Established writers talk about the solitary journey of being a Victorian regional writer' at the Victorian Regional Writers Festival in Buninyong, Victoria.
